Haridwar ; the word itself defines the beauty in the eyes of every devoty . "Hari" means god & "dwar " resembles gates,

the place situated at the bank of river Ganga,at the foothills of shivalik ranges. This has a ritualistic vibes in   the air itself, 

with a delightful welcome  for the pilgrims & devotees performing sacrament bath on the banks of the river GANGA.

This bath is said to be a ritual as it is believed that goddesses of river Ganga washes away all this sins of their pilgrims .

Lateron ,  all the priest performs a religious cermony (arti) ; to pled & generate love , feelings of a bhakt to their own

Mother Ganga river.

 Another reason  for admiring ; Haridwar as a holy place for Hindus, is ancient liturgy event which is celebrated every 12 years

 in the Haridwar. This  devotional ceremony that seeks attention of all the devotees & pilgrims is named as "KUMBHA MELA".

 THE KUMBHA MELA festival is marked by a ritual dip in the waters, but it is also a celebration of community commerce with numerous fairs,

 education, religious discourses by saints, mass feedings of monks or the poor, and entertainment spectacle. 

 

After all the  devotional events , now its time to taste some luscious food exploring the streets of Haridwar with both foots & tongue.
